Nordcee Winter Retreat
December 2025
This year’s December gathering brought colleagues together for a day focused on knowledge sharing and collaboration. Groups presented the methods they use in their research, sparking engaging discussions and deeper insights during breakout sessions.
The program also included time to enjoy the stunning nature of Svanninge Bjerge with a refreshing hike, before returning for coffee and homemade German Christmas Stollen. In the evening, participants were treated to a culinary experience featuring dishes inspired by Arabic and Japanese cuisine.
To round off the day, a lively gift exchange game added plenty of laughter and holiday spirit. Some stayed overnight and enjoyed a relaxed breakfast the next morning before heading back to SDU – inspired, connected, and ready for the year ahead.
June 2025
As tradition has it, we set off on our annual summer trip – to SDU’s scenic research station in Svanninge Bjerge. The weather was on our side, and we kicked off the day with a lovely lunch outdoors, followed by garden games, hikes through the beautiful landscape, and plenty of great conversations around the table.
The afternoon brought coffee and delicious homemade cakes, and some took the opportunity for a refreshing dip at the harbour bath in Faaborg. In the evening, our cooking team worked their magic and served a fantastic dinner – topped off with a delightful dessert – so if anyone went to bed hungry, they had only themselves to blame!
The next morning, we woke up to the smell of freshly baked rolls, which we enjoyed together before packing up and heading back to SDU – tired, happy, and full of wonderful memories.
